In our last post, we talked about how to identify your customers. Today, we'll look at why it is important to tailor our marketing campaign to suit these customers. Not having a target market, is like finding a needle in a haystack. You are literally searching blindly, for something you may never find. For your marketing campaign to be effective, it is essential that you make use of target marketing in order to achieve desired results. Let us look at this in detail.

- Cost Minimization: Target marketing helps you minimize cost because you are focusing mainly on a defined audience, as against trying to reach as many people as possible who may not even be interested in your products. This helps prevent wastage.

-Increased ROI: It can be really disappointing when you spend heavily on marketing and it yields little or no result. However, marketing to the right audience increases your Return on Investment (ROI), because you are speaking to people who desire what you have to offer. What it does is that it creates an exposure of the product to the minds of people who have a conscious or unconscious need for it, thereby converting to sales.

- Direct Connection: You may find it difficult to convince a large unspecified audience, because of varying fashion needs/style. Target marketing helps you connect directly to your potential customers with appealing messages and you are able to meet their needs. 

- Customer Loyalty: As a result of segmentation, you understand and are able to meet the expectations of your audience. Once a customer is satisfied, he/she remains loyal to your brand because of that positive experience. And we know what customer loyalty does to a business, it helps the brand grow.

-Stand Out: Marketing to a specific audience makes your brand stand out from competitors. You customers are able to easily identify you.
